    The Cystinosis Research Foundation was founded 20 years ago when 12 year old Natalie Stack made a birthday wish for her rare disease to go away forever. After raising 65 million dollars for research a clinical trial and a gene and stem cell transplant Natalie and 4 other patients are showing signs that her wish was granted.

    On April 1, 2015, Kristine Tesauro was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia.Upon arrival to the hospital, doctors informed her that had she waited an additional two days, she would not have survived.

    Along with her sister Brianna, they are standing up and standing out. This is a story of family, the power of positivity, the strength of a community. A story with a message that transcends cancer. A message of hope, perseverance, compassion and gratitude.
